Made by Hand: Kimono Top

It's Thursday, so that means it's Made by Hand day over at Christina's
Pop over to see more handmade goodness :)

Made by hand here this week is a summer top made from a vintage panel of Japanese
fabric (found at this very special Etsy store).

It was a very narrow panel, so I cut it in half and joined the sides to make the front panel of
the top.

I used some navy cotton and linen jersey from my stash for the back, bodice and trimmings :)

Hope you've had fun making too :)

  5. It's beautiful! I love that the size of the fabric didn't put you off and you were able to make such a striking garment. Is there no end to your talent? Hook, needle, sewing machine, lino, screen printing... what other secret skills do you have?! :)

    1. Thanks Lamina :) I actually used my own pattern I designed for my t-shirts but I had to tweak it for this one as it's non-stretch fabric. Summer is already here in Brisbane - it was 32ºC yesterday! Have fun making :) Kx
