To Stitch or Not to Stitch...

Yes, that is the question ;) This is my current work in progress. I should be well on the way to
finishing it but I've stopped in my tracks, caught by the light that comes through the stitching
holes. I rather like it and now I'm wondering if I should just leave it the way it is...

Loving the back of the work too... look at how the paper has been pushed into tiny mountains on the surface.

Okay, maybe I'm getting a bit too fanciful here ;) I think I will be stitching this one... if only to
see how it compares to the other, but there's definitely some more perforated pieces coming
in the future!

All the same, opinions are welcome. Hope you're having a good week :)

  2. Perforated pieces are fantastic I love them. But always think they should be mounted up on a light box to show them to their best effect. Are you ready to go in to interior lighting design?

    1. That's it EXACTLY Jane!!! The reason I decided to stitch it after all was because you can't really appreciate the light coming through it if it isn't backlit! I have been scheming about how I might do that ;) but I think that's a piece for an exhibition and not an online shop. Thanks for visiting :) Kx

  3. There's so much potential with perforations. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  4. I love it! Perhaps there's a place for both--a little stitching, a little light shining through. Maybe the perforated pieces could be made into some kind of hanging that does not go against a wall but hangs loosely from a hook above so that light can come through?
