So, this is the piece I've been working on. Layers of block printing, drawing, painting and stitchery on canvas paper. I'm at the stage where I'm not sure if it's finished or not... and scared that the next thing I add may be too much and I spoil the whole thing ;)

Oh my goodness Kylie - this is amazing!! I love all the different things going on. I know what you mean about deciding if its finished or not - so so hard. Just leave it for a bit, then look again with fresh eyes?xx
Wow Kylie, lovely work. Hope you don't mind if I give my 10 cents worth (the smallest denomination we have in NZ now!). The top left hand corner with the lovely floral print doesn't seem to integrate with the rest. If you cover that area up, the rest really works, so it might need some stitches too. But as others have said time will give you clarity. S:)
Hi Sally. Yes - I agree! It's that top corner that I know needs something but I'm so scared of doing the wrong thing! Thanks for your confirmation of this - I really appreciate it :) I have something in mind... but I just have to find a way of trialling it without wrecking everything I guess ;) Thanks again. Kx
p.s. that's so funny about the ten cents! We still have five cent pieces on this side of the pond :)
Hi Kylie, I have just found your blog through Christina's meme, and what an amazing piece of work! Fantastic! I agree with the other comments, have a look in a week and you will know if you need to do anything else to it. xx

I agree with everyone else Kylie, it is stunning. I think just the smallest amount of stitching in that top left corner is going to tie it all together, without taking away from the beautiful contrast between the geometric and natural shapes. I love seeing how you work with textiles and develop your ideas! Thanks for joining in. xx
