finally I've got back to it and made an insert. So, here we have it – a finished pouf :)
I'd say it's a mid-sized pouf, about 60cms in diameter and 18cms in height. It's made from
3 spools of zpagetti... that's about 360 meters of recycled t-shirt fabric. I used the crochet
pattern from Evelien's Etsy shop, and for the insert I just made it up as I went ;)
Hope you're having a great week :)
WOW Kylie! That's a lot of metres!! Looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteHaha :) Thanks Kate. It felt like it too ;) Kx
DeleteWow, I seem to have missed all your creativity, looks great Kylie!
ReplyDeleteI also missed the end of my creative space, that's a sad one :-(
Hi Susie! Yes, it is very sad there's no more MCS. I did notice that some people kept on with it anyway last week - no link back, just a structure to the week I guess... I liked it :) Kx
DeleteI love this Kylie - the colour and the size.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
Thanks Jennie :) It's a lot of hand-crunching work but worth it I think ;) Kx
DeleteThis is a beauty Kylie. Love that intense blue against the green too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carmel :) Crocheting with these massive yarns also have the added benefit of being extremely good for tuckshop arms! :)) Kx
DeleteFantastic! I've bookmarked several pouf patterns over the years but never got around to trying them. Love it with the t-shirt yarn. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Gretchen :) It's certainly a workout with the t-shirt yarn but a great effect. Kx
DeleteGah - love this. I love that I'm not the only one who takes forever to get the finishing touches well... finished.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask - if this comfy and loungey like a bean bag, or more like a firmer chair? We need something for our shack living - no couch makes for not very loungey evenings by the fire :( - and I had bean bags in mind, but really don't think they're that attractive. This would look beautiful. Not sure where I'd get THAT much tshirt yarn, but that's another story to worry about.
Thanks Ellie :) It's firmer than a bean bag but not as hard as a chair, but that's entirely up to how firmly you stuff the insert. I used a 1kg bag of that polyester filling and when I ran out, that was how firm it was ;) I've seen some knitted bean bags that look gorgeous... might be a bit too big a job with crochet unless it was a jumbo thick yarn maybe? Try Evelien's shop on Etsy (link in my post above). Kx
