Progress report

Oh my... this is slow work, people! Has it really been 2 years since I last posted?
Why are you even still around to read this? :))
The day job has been very demanding, but some progress has been made, on this and other distraction projects.

Funky Retro Groover

It must be summer bringing out the funky retro groover in me... hot hazy days, hoping to
catch some breeze through the breeze blocks, those fabulous 1970s architectural standard
you see so often here in the Southern sub-tropics :) Well, that's my inspiration... and this is
the new pattern I've designed, block printed and made into cushions.

There's the original Breeze Block design with a repeat pattern of 10cms, and then the
Breeze Block (Mini) with a repeat of 5cms. Pouches and other fresh fun things coming soon.

So right now and so available in my Etsy store :)

New Fabric Design!

I have a new fabric design to show you... I've been quite busy with the day job lately, but I
just had to see if this idea worked so I've been indulging in a bit of midnight printing :)

Initially I was calling it Flower Block, but I think I'll be changing that soon... now that I see it
all printed up I'm thinking it looks a bit like those fabulous breeze blocks you used to see in
1970s architecture. So, I think I'll be changing the name; adding in a Breeze before the Block ;)

I'll be making these panels into pouches soon.

The Circus is in town!

I've just finished a special order and felt like having a bit of fun with some fabric panels
I found in my work drawer. This made me think of a super sparkly length of trimming that
I bought in New York years and years ago... and hey presto! Ladies and Gentlemen, I do
believe the circus has come to town! :)

Double-sided cushions in my original designs of Orbit (in Neon Pink and Neon Yellow)
and Oasis (in Neon Pink) printed on a medium-weight cotton.

A bit of circus fun... now in the shop :)

Neon cushion frenzy!

It was a public holiday here today, which meant time to go for walks, to have tea with the
fam... and to make up a fresh batch of cushions. Orbit in Neon Pink and Flame Forrest in
Neon Yellow now in the shop :)

If you had the day off today too, I hope it was a lovely one for you :)

New cushions too!

I've allowed myself to get distracted from pouch-making to sew up some cushions. These
are 100% linen and backed with natural linen for a nice contrast. I've only made up the blue
Flame Forrest cushions so far, but more are on the way in all the same fabric designs as
the totes :)

Flame Forrest Blue cushions available in my Etsy store :)

New Totes!

I've finally made up some trial totes from the mass of fabric I've been printing up lately...
I'm having a break from pouch making and also I'd be interested to see if anyone would
like totes made with my fabric. So, here they are...

Available in my Etsy shop. x

Workroom update

I've been a bit quiet here... but I have been working on some ideas, like printing notepads
and tiny pouches. This one is a birthday gift for a lovely friend but there are more on the way.

There are also some new designs in the copper on denim collection and I've been
accommodating to the smaller sizing with a mini version of my Oasis block.

Still working on these but hopefully they'll be in the shop soon. What have you been up to?

Copper/Denim Pouch

I've started making up the Copper/Denim pouches. This is the first one, a gift for someone special :)

Hope you're having a productive weekend too?
